From the very beginning it has been the policy of the committee to support young Belgian chemists through three channels:

* Travel grants
These grants give young chemists, typically Ph.D. students and postdocs in their first 3 years after their Ph.D, the possibility to attend international conferences with a presentation (poster or oral) of their research.

* Incentive awards
Incentive awards, 2500€ each, are bestowed upon young creative chemists, typically postdocs, for their excellence in research. There are on average two incentive awards per year. The candidates must have at least one publication in a Chemistry Europe journal.

* International conferences
The management committee can support international conferences, organized in Belgium by Belgian chemists. Priority is given to conferences organized by young chemists of both KVCV and SRC.
